I ran across this sweet little daffodil the other day. She was confidently growing up out of an evergreen shrub. I had never seen anything like it before.
A powerful reminder to rise up, stand tall and bloom where you’re planted.
Even if it sometimes feels like you don’t belong there. Even if you stand out looking a little different from those around you.
Do not be afraid.
You are beautiful and beloved and a blessing to the world.

So reminds me that I am always wanting to live somewhere else. Usually somewhere that I have recently visited or previously lived, that seems to have it “all going on”.
I need to be true to my own family roots and in a place where I/we can care for aging parents, who by the way, we owe a huge debt of gratitude for getting us/me where we are. In my case, my 94 year old mom, who would have no immediate family close by if Karen and I were not here.
Thanks for the reminder to grow where we are planted. 🙏
Thank you for the reminder!
