The events and news of the day can get wound up in our bones, strain our nerves and bring stress and anxiety into our spirit in a way that can shut us down and prevent us from being a light in the midst of it. When chaos swirls around us, its important that we learn to remain rooted so the wind doesn’t toss us wildly about. Contemplative practices such as meditation and mindfulness are powerful tools that can help re-center us.
The Hebrew word ruach refers to literal breath, wind or the Holy Spirit of Divine Presence. When we focus with intention on our breathing, we can re-center ourselves to the Divine indwelling within. The breath can be an anchor that holds us steady when storms rustle and wrestle around us.
Consider finding a quiet place and starting your day with this 10 minute guided meditation.
