Rooted: A Spiritual Memoir of Homecoming
At which time I reveal the cover of my upcoming book!
About the cover
The cover image was taken on a foggy morning at the farm where I grew up—a place rooted in love, hospitality, and quiet generosity. At the center of the scene is a small hill rising behind a still pond. Decades ago, my father planted three trees there, drawn by the spiritual resonance of "three trees on a hill." On this morning, veiled in fog, the hill and its trees appear both softened and luminous, their reflection mirrored perfectly in the pond below—real and yet ethereal.
This image captures the essence of the story told within these pages: a spiritual memoir about returning home, both literally and inwardly. After years spent in a wider world that reshaped my beliefs and worldview, I moved back to the land of my childhood. In addition to a U-Haul packed with my belongings, I carried the weight of fear—fear of being judged or rejected for who I had become. But the forty acres of the farm embraced me without hesitation.
Though the broader community often held me at arm’s length, the land welcomed me with a familiar grace. The fog in the photograph speaks to the uncertainty of that return; the trees, to enduring love, and the reflection, to the way the past and present can finally see each other clearly.
This cover is more than an image. It is a homecoming.
Stay tuned for the book trailer- coming to you in a few days!
