Sometimes I wonder if all the great mysteries of the universe might be revealed in the simple, sacred unfolding of dahlia petals.
And that perhaps the great minds of the world are simply too occupied to be still long enough to sit, listen, and absorb the undoing. Within these blooms there is perhaps an unraveling of what we thought we knew.
Some mysteries can’t be solved like puzzles, because they can only be known by bearing witness to a slow and astonishing unveiling as all the folds of their skin part and open.

Stunning testimony to the creative mystery that holds us all. Thank you !
I think you are right, Christy, about the great minds and the great mysteries of the world. Your photos are magical and so, so beautiful.
I don’t have dahlias, but every year I take close up pictures day after day of the lilacs blooming, as well as the peonies, the roses, and several other flowers…as well as little leaf buds unfurling day by day with a plethora of tender colors before they become almost uniformly green. There’s so much to learn here, but it takes time and patience and a willingness to breathe along with the process, because wisdom, knowledge, and solutions never come quickly or easily, despite what so many think or want. And it changes every time, which means there’s something new to observe and learn with each unfolding, each blossoming, every becoming.
