Cottonwood seeds slip through air thick with heat—
soft against skin,
a slow fall of white breath.
Falling like a summer snow—
drifting through warm air.
White gathers along the ground,
quiet, without cold.
The earth exhales,
the soft curves of her body covered in kisses.
Each touch is an intimacy
that lingers
long after it lands.
